Traffic is a major problem throughout the world. Whether some person is sitting in traffic in New York City or Hong Kong, traffic is the number one cause of workers going into work late. If workers were able to distinguish the best times available to leave work in the morning and afternoon, productivity may increase and will lead to happier less stressed workers. This study was conducted in Asheville, NC during the fall of 2014. The study looked at an individual who left work at two separate times during the workweek (Monday – Friday). The same route was used for collecting data. Times were taken to determine how long it would take to reach campus. This study has the potential to assist some individuals develop a timeline to optimize (minimize) the time required to get to and from work can be optimized.
